10 August, 2007 – Boise, ID—Ada County, Idaho, location of Boise, Idaho’s largest city, has selected CorEMR to use in its county Jail. Ada County jail houses over 1400 inmates. The medical staff visited other facilities using CorEMR and found it to be a good solution for their electronic record needs. The county jail began using CorEMR in mid-September 2007.
The EMR system provided by CorEMR saves medical staff members time by scheduling the inmate medical, dental and other appointments, building and maintaining medical record files, noting off the doctors' and nurses' orders through sick call and nurse assessments and tracking prescription distribution and inventory levels. The ability to integrate with most existing Jail Management Systems allows CorEMR users to eastily track inmate housing locations, and current book-ins.
