01 April, 2008 – San Antonio, Texas—Industry Update: Spring 2008, Attendance to national conferences. CorEMR attends the national conferences for the corrections industry. In May 2008 CorEMR traveled to San Antonio, Texas for the NCCHC (National Commission on Correctional Health Care). This year’s conference allowed CorEMR to introduce the latest release of the CorEMR software program. With the focus of the show being for the education and support of the corrections medical staff across the nation, the show was an exceptional venue to receive feed back and insight to where the Medical records services need to progress. CorEMR will also be attending the fall conference in Chicago. For more information on the NCCHC visit their site at www.ncchc.org.
CorEMR also attended the AJA spring conference held in Sacramento, California. The American Jail Association (www.aja.org) focuses more broadly on the administration of correctional facilities and has the full correctional staff attending. CorEMR demonstrated the integration of the Electronic Medical Records platform with the varying Jail Management System’s (JMS’s) available on the market. Both conferences are an annual part of the research and development of the CorEMR platform. We believe understanding the trends and needs of the correctional system’s staff is key to making an optimized and efficient program.
