25 January, 2006 – Farmington, UT—CorEMR announced today that Davis County Utah Sheriff's Department has chosen CorEMR to implement its electronic medical records (EMR) software at the Davis County Jail.
The EMR system provided by CorEMR saves medical staff members time by scheduling the inmate medical, dental and other appointments, building and maintaining medical record files, noting off the doctors' and nurses' orders through sick call and nurse assessments and tracking prescription distribution and inventory levels.
James Ondricek, the Medical Director at the Davis County Jail, talks about moving forward with CorEMR. "I have been waiting for an electronic medical record system for quite some time and CorEMR is the best EMR system I've seen. Our staff is very excited about implementing CorEMR at our facility and looks forward to saving time and money by inputting all our information directly onto the computer."
CorEMR is being integrated with Davis County Jail's existing jail management system to keep inmate booking and medical data synchronized, along with the facility's pharmacy to allow online ordering and inventory and distribution tracking.
CorEMR was formed in 2004 to provide affordable electronic medical records systems for corrections facilities. The management team has more than 25 years experience in correctional facility management, as well as extensive experience in software development and solutions management. The company is privately held and headquartered in Midway, Utah. CorEMR P.O. Box 702, Midway, Utah 84049
